Pervasic accelerates efficiency gains for Cubic Transportation

Pervasic, the leading provider of mobile applications for field workers, has recently announced the successful deployment of their MobileOne® Enterprise solution, following a major new contract with Cubic Transportation Systems Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cubic Corporation, San Diego.

Around 150 Cubic Transportation field engineers are now using a Pervasic mobile solution to help them service and repair fare collection systems more efficiently - across the UK rail network and London Underground.

Crucially, the solution also provides Cubic managers in the office and in the field with valuable real-time information, so they can monitor the performance of every engineer, keep track of valuable equipment and transform business processes.

Previously, engineers needed to make an average of 3-8 telephone calls per job. But with Pervasic MobileOne Enterprise, they only need a few moments on their handheld devices to report on each job, saving time, raising productivity and improving accuracy.

The solution has also overcome a major communications headache for Cubic: how to enable engineers to communicate while they travel site-to-site using the London Underground. With Pervasic, engineers can enter details at any time. Messages are stored in their PDA's memory and then sent automatically when the engineer returns to ground level.
